Who we are
Clerisa Safari Limited is a Tanzanian travel company. We arrange wildlife safaris, Kilimanjaro treks, Zanzibar travel and cultural trips, and we help visitors see the best of Tanzania with ease and authenticity.
Being in Arusha matters more than it sounds. We are not coordinating your trip from another continent. We are in the same town as the vehicles, the guides and the park gates, which is why we can answer a question about road conditions or lodge availability the same day you ask it.
Because we handle safaris, the mountain and the coast ourselves, a trip that combines them stays with one company from your first message to the airport transfer home.
What you can expect from us
- We answer properly. A person in Arusha reads your enquiry and replies to it, within one working day.
- We tell you the truth about timing. Including when a month is a poor choice for what you want to see. Better to hear it from us than to find out there.
- We adjust. Length, pace, parks, comfort level. Most trips end up different from where they started.
- We never promise sightings. Wildlife is wild. We plan to give you the best chance and we are honest about the odds.
- We stay reachable. By WhatsApp, email or phone, before you travel and while you are here.
Where we operate
Our core ground is the northern circuit: Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Serengeti, all reached from Arusha. We run Kilimanjaro treks from Moshi on the Marangu, Machame and Lemosho routes, and we arrange Zanzibar and Pemba, either as an extension or on their own.
Responsible travel
Tourism is one of the reasons Tanzania’s parks still exist in the form they do. Park fees fund conservation and anti-poaching work, and the industry employs a great many people across the north.
On the practical side, we keep to park rules on distance and off-road driving even when a better photograph is tempting, we do not encourage feeding or baiting of any kind, and cultural visits should benefit the community hosting them rather than turning people into an exhibit.
